DUNEDIN HORSE SALFYARDS. M.ssis. Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follow s :—: — For last Saturday's sale the entry was only a moderate one. This was to be expected, in view of the fact that our seventeenth annual horse fair takes place on Tluubdiiy and Friday, 41 h and sth inst. The attendance of the public was good, and amongst them was a conbideiablc number of farmers on the lookout for plough teams ; but as there was nothing included in our, entry suitable for their requirements, they decided to wait for our annual fair. There is a good demand for young active draught mares and geldings, also for reliable spiing-\an and spring-cart horses, and the prospects aic good for our winter sale during show week. We quote : Superior young draught gelding*, at from £45 to £'50 ; extra good <'o. (pnac \v miners., at from £50 to £55; super' or young draught mares, at fro.n £50 lo £60 : medium draught mares and eeHines, at from £30 to £-10 ; a'j;ed do, at from £15 1o £20; well-matrhod carri ge pairs, at from £70 to I £100 , stions; sprin«-\ an horses, at from £25 to £30 ; milk-cart and but' hers' order-cart horses, at from £18 1o £35; light had s, at fiom £8 to £13; extra cr.od hacks and harness horses, at from £13 tn £25 '; weedy md good do. at fiom £5 to £7.
