TEMUKA
(From our own correspondent.) A very successful entertainment was held in St. Joseph's Schoolroom, 'K'errytown, on Thursday evening last., in aid of the school funds. On account of the threatening weather and a counter attraction the attendance was not quite as large as usual. The programme, which was very well received, included two «.olos by the Timaru Banjo Band. The Temuka Catholic Dramatic Club also took part, staging the drama, 1 The Jealous Husband.' This was very frequently applauded, showing that for a new club the members are acquitting themselves creditably. The 'j'emuka Catholic Club opened its' session on Tuesday evening last by holding a banquet in St. Joseph's schoolroom.. There was a very large attendance of memlbcrs. The [resident (Mr. W. Barry) occupied* the chair, and Rev. Father Goggan and Rev. Father Kerley wore present. A long toast list, interspersed with songs and recitations, was gone through, and everything passed off very successfully. The clergy are taking a \ery great in.tcrest in the club, and it is hoped that, before long the membership will be greatly increased,,.
