* (From our own. correspondent.) March 23. ■ On St. Patrick's Day the membeis of the Hibernian Society approached the Holy Table at the eight o'clock Mass. 'Verjr Rev. Dean McKenna congratulated the members on tlfeir display of faith. " Rev. " yElather Kelly, Who has had charge of the Pahiatua parish du~ing- the absence of Rev. Father T. McKenna, has returned to Masterton. Rev. Father Oullen, of Maitland, N.S.W., who is on a visit to New Zealand, is at present the guest of Very Rev. Dean McKenna. The combined picnic to be held •at Eketahuna on April 2 promises, to be most successful. Energetic .committees are working at Masterton, Palhiatua-,-" and : -Wo.odville. A meeting of the men's committee was • heldsMiere last Wednesday, when a , programme of sports- "was arranged. The H.A.0.8. Society have donated a-. 'gold and silver medal for- 'boys' race.
