This 1 has been a week for the distribution of prizes— a week in which Catholics realise more than at any other .time what they are doing in the matter of the education of their ohildren, and what splendid work is being done by the members of the religious Orders that have the management and control of their schools. The reports of the teaching at the several schools under the charge of the Sisters; of Mercy have been, as usual, good; and the entertainments that we see each year at these ' break-ups ' are a strong testimony of the zeal and. untiring efforts of the good Sisters for the children under their care. A pleasing feature of these gatherings was the large number of parents and friends that assembled to show their interest in the Bohools. The prize-winners are as follows : — . Good Conduct.— Senior Division: Silver medal, Cissie Dwyer; next in merit, Alice Maher; boys— prize, Philip Dee. Junior Division : Prize, Maggie Burns.
