ST. JOSEPH'S SCHOOL, MILTON

The annual distribution of prizes at -St. Joseph's School, Milton (saye the Bruce Herald), took place on the afternoon of. December 11. The Very Rev. Father O'Neill presided. A.very interesting programme of music was gone through, the children's items being specially well done. The opening chorus ( Flowers") by the pupils went with a good swing, the children being grouped facing each other at the end of the schoolroom in tiers. The decorations were very effective, and the Christmas tree loaded with good things. The small boys' action song was a pleasant little item, and "Miss May Dwyer, a w-ee tot, played a piano solo in fine style. s "Helping Mother," an action song by little, girls, was very, prettily gone through. Physical exercises by the senior boys, and piaho solos by Miss' Lulu Ward and, Miss Norah Angus made up the programme— a very good one. The concluding item was a chorus, "A. Serenade," by the pupils. The prizes were distributed by tlie Very Rev. Father O'Neill,, assisted by the Sisters of the Convent. Ihe dux of the school, Miss Constance Wardl, was greeted with a round of applause by her fellow pupils as she received her medal.
