Godfiey Rauwho as iepie=,entatives of the Incoipoiated Society of the Ciusade of Rescue, London, England, aie c n a -visit to the Colony foi the pui pose/of raising funds for the carrying on of the noble woik ""undei"taKen by the society The lepiesentatives have a special leitei of lecommendation fiom his holiness the Pope to the English-speaking would, and have afieady spent some time m Australia, chiefly fn Victoiia It is then intention foi ,the pieseni to speak of tfien work in the chuiches heie, and will begin at St Joseph's on Suiuay Alter visiting the seveial "j>aris'hes of the aichdiocese, Auckland will be visited, and then .possibly Chiistchuich In this connection, howevei, no definite airangements have~yei been made t His ,Giace the- Aichbishop has given" to then work most cordial appioval, and Bishop Lenihan, of Auckland, -has also accorded the lepiesentatives a waim invitation The woik of the society concerns itself "with the" wjAts and stia>s of A ondon.
