October 5. St. Patrick's Club concluded the season with a smoke concert last Tuesday evening. During the evening Mr. F. B. Haughey was presented with a case of pipes from members as a mark of appreciation of the services ha had rendered to' the club during the past season.' '
The Garry Owen Hockey Club held its first annual social last evening in the Foresters' Hall, and it was a great success. During the evening Mr. h. J Dolan presented the trophies won during the year. Miss'M Collins secured the trophy for best back in the team' Miss K. O'Leary that for best forward, and Miss'M Coyle for most improved player for the season The following pupils of St. Bride's Convent' were successful in the practical examination held in connection with the Associated Board of the Royal Academy of Music on " Wednesday last :— lntermediate sin-ritae Fanny M.
