Students are prepared for the N.Z. University Junior and Senior Civil Service, Medical Entrance, Solicitors' General Enowledge, Bank and all other Public Examinations. Students not preparing for the learned Professions have the advantage of a Special Commercial Course, under effioient management, where they are taught all that will be of use in mercantile pursuits. Special attention ia also paid to the teaching of Physical Science, for whioh purpeße the Colege possesses a large Laboratory and Demonstration Hall. Vocal Music, Elocution, Drawing, and all other branches of a Liberal Education receive due attention. Physical oulture is> attended to by a oompetent Drill Instructor who trains the students three times a week in Drill, Rifle Practice, and Gymnastics. A large and well-equipped Gymnasium is attaohed to the College. The religiouß and moral training of the pupila is an object of special oare, and particular attention is bestowed on the teaching of Chrißtian Doctrine. A well-appointed Infirmary attaohed to the College is under the charge of the Sisters of Compassion, from whom in case of illnew all students receive the most tender and devoted oare, and who at all timeß pay particular attention to the younger and more Jelioate pupils, who without Buoh oare would find the absence of home comforts very trying.
