-MR. THOMAS BURNS,. X ANIERI. (From our Hokitika correspondent.) Another of the pioneers of the West Coast, in the person of Mr. Thomas Burns, of Kanieri, passed away yeiy suddenly oa August 24. Mr. .Burns, who came to the West Coast in 1&66, had carried, on the business •of blacksmith at Kanieri- and -Hok-ftikiC" for the last . forty- years.
