The cheese market* is firm but there is a good demand. "Canadian^ is quoted at 62s per cwt. There « is no -stock of New- Zealand v ori\ hand. The hemp market is - quiet, \. . but steady. Messrs. Qonald Reid and Co. (Ltd.) report i— We held our weekly auction sale of grain and produce at our stores on Monday. T-here was again a full catalogue, and although the attendance of ,-buy--ers .was good, competition was- not keen, and part of the - offering had to ' be passed in pending private sale.
