Monsignor O'Riordan, Rector of the Irish College atr Rome, has presented the Peter's Pence from the archdiocese of Sydney to the Pope, and >a letter from Cardinal 1 Moran concerning the • progress of Catholicism in Australia. The Pope, in thanking Monsignor O'Riordan, intimated that he intended to answer the letter personally.
The Rev. R. A. Corbett, who has been in Bathurst during the past two years, has been transferred to Wellington. The Rev. J. Dunne, of Wellington, takes Father Corbett' s place.
