The Meanee bazaar, which was held during the past week, came to a conclusion on October 1,-i. The stallholders were as follow :— Mesdamcs Reid, Murnane, Halinn, and Ljons. 'I he financial results of the baaaar have exceeded expectations, o\cr £300 being in hand, c\clii.si\e of proceeds ot art union, towards which end everyone v.orked \ery haul. The art umon will be drawn at ilw end 'of this week, and the result notified in the ' Taib'let.' Among iho art minion prizes is a haindsome mi:ror nmsenied b\ Mr-,. Sogrief, of Wellington, painti-d by Miss Al. C. 'Se^rief, the beauliful carved frame bem^ the work of Air. 'i^ofliey Yenning, of Wellington. It has been the objeft of much admiration. On October 0 the annual musical examination in practical work, under the auspices of the Asswiated Board of the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Colleee of Music, I ondo-n, took place, Mr. Graham P. Moore being examiner. The following pupils of St. Josojfti's Cement were successful — Higher division — Genevie/vo Poipe. Lower— Dotothv Allen Elementary — L Dolbel, E Kaye, ar.di A. Payne.
