MR. DAVID HEFFERNAN, KAIKORAI.
It is with sincere regret we have to record the death of Mr. D-avid Heflernan, an old and respected resident of Kaikorai Valley, who passed away on July 22, at the age of 63 years. The late Mr. Heffernan -was a native of Belmullett, County Miayo, and arrived in New Zealand 45 years ago. The funeral cortege, which left his late residence on July 25, was one of the largest ever seen in. the district, a striking testimony to the esteem in which deceased was held by all who knew him. He leaves a wife, a son. and a daughter, who have the deepest sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.—R.l.P.
