At Addington yards there were moderate entries in almost all departments, and a fair attendance. There was a keen demand for forward store fhe°p and breeding ewes, and a|small yarding of fat cattle resulted in a rise in prices. Prime fat lamba sold at about late rates, and backward sorts were easier. Fat wethers were very firm, while ewea showe a decline. Pigs of all classes were firmer. The range of prices was— prime wether*, 23a to 26s ; extra, to 31b 6d : light, 20a to 22s 6-i ; ewea (heavy lines), 20a to 22a 7d ; midium and rood, 17a to 19a6d ; others, 14a to 16s 6d. Fat Cattle— The yarding comprised only 117 head, mostly useful steers. A large number of pens were paßsed at first, but were afterwards sold, the market showirg an advance of 10a to 20a per head over the previous week'B prices. A line of 12 steers from Mr 0. Dampier Oro^sley (Hawarden) made £7 17s 6d to £9 12s 6d. aud 17 heifers from Haw kswood £5 12s 6d to £8 2s 6d. Steers Bold at £7 5s to £10; heifers, £5 to £6 ; and cows, £4 17s 6d to £6: oae extra, £8 ss— equal to 21s to 23s for prime, and 18s to 20a for medium per 1001 b. Veal calves sold at 7s 6d to £2 ss. Pigs — There was a moderate yarding, and an improvement all round in prices, especially in stores. Baooners made 45a to 495, heavier weights to 62*, equal to 3Jd to 4d per lb ; porkers, 28s to 86s, equal to 4d per lb ; large stores, 20a to 30s ; medium, 12s 6d to 7s 6d ; weaners, 6s to 10a 6d. A line of 16 baconers from Mr J. A. Mcßae Peacock (Swauanoa) made 44e 6d to 625.
