Late Burnside Stock Report
Per favor Messrs. Donald Beitt and Co. Fat Cattle.— There was only a medium yarding, and a few pens oi prime bullocks. Prices at the beginning of the sale wcue on a jpar with those ruling last week, but towards the lmish they eased considerably. Best bullocks, £9/10/- to £10/5/- , modium to good, £7/10/- to £8/10/- ; liglil t £5 to £C , best cows and he lfers, £6/15/- to £8 , medium to good, £5 to £b/10/- , light, £1/5/- to £1/15/-. Pat Sheep.— There was a fairly large yarding oi medium sheep, with a few pens of exira hea\y wetheis. The ewes forward were mostly ot poor quality, with the exception of a few pens oi prune. Prices showed a dechno of about 1/6 per head all round. Best wethers, 22/6 to 21/9 ; extra heavy, 27/U , medium to gpod, 21/to 22/^; best ewes, 17/6 to 20/- , extra hea\y, 23/U , others, 15/- to 17/-. Lambs. — There was a medium yarding. Except for those fit for export, prices ruling last week were scarcely maintained. Best lambs, 15/6 to 17/1) , extra liea\y, 19/- , others, 11/- to 15/3. Pigs. — There was a fair yarding, and with the exception of baconers, all other kinds were easier. Suckeis, 4/- to 8/- ; slips, 9/- to 12/6 ; stores, 15/- to 20/- ; porkers, 25/- to 35/- , light naconers, 38/- to 10/- : heavy do, 50/- to 53/- , choppers, up to 63/-.
