LIVE STOCK OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR.
The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report :—: — We held our usual weekly sale of horses at 'our ba/aar, Crawfoi'd and Vogel streets, on Saturday last, when we had another fair entry of heavy draught mares and. gelßings, van horses, spring-carters, plough mares and geldings, light harness horses, and hackne\ s, 3<i of all desciiptions coming under the auctioneer's notke. There was only a medium attendance of farmers and town earners, and they were not very Keen bidders Bidding throughout the auction was somewhat dull, 'but notwithstanding this a good num. her changed hands at fairly satisfactory prices. Young horses, both light and hea\y .sorts, are most in demand, and for the.se good competition is always to the fore, wit'i plenty of buyers, especially for lorry and \an geldings. Spring-carters and order-cart' sorts, young and souna, are also in good demand ; and the right (lass of buggy and evpiess geldings coming into the market, young and sound and active, will meet a fair demand We quote: Hea\y cart mares and geldings, c."i) to £6iO • Clydesdale mares and fillies, £60 to £100 ; \an geldings, £38 to £45 ; spring-oarters, £25 to £31 , buge;v geldings, about 154 hands, / stylish, good movers, £25 to £30 ; buggy pairs, of the same description, £50 to £G0 ; carriage 'pairs, £80 to £100.
