IN FEBRUARY the Religious of the Sacred Heart are about to OPEN A CONVENT AT MELROSE, Near Island Bay, Wellington. They hare taken a house on the site of the future Convent. Owing to the limited accommodation in 1905 they can take only a very small number of pupils. Therefore parents wishing to place their ohildren should at once apply to the Reverend Mother Superior at Timaru, so that arrangements may be made to receive them. THE PROVINCIAL ECCLESIASTICAL SEMINARY OF NEW ZEALAND, HOLY CROSS COLLEGE, MOSG7EL. IN conformity with arrangements made at the First Pro incial Synod, held in Wellington in 1899, this Seminary has been established for the Education of Students from all parts of New Zealand who aspire to the 'Ecclesiastical State. Holy Cross College is situated at Mosgiel (ten miles from Dunedin) in a fine building hitherto known as Mosgiel House, which, with more than 11 acre" of rich park land surrounding it, was purchased for use as a Semi* nary for the Ecclesiastical Pro* iace of New Zealand. Students twelve years of age and upwards will be admitted, Candidate* for admission are required to present satisfactory testimonials from the parochial clergy, and from the Bnperiors of schools or colleges where they may have studied. The Pension ii £35 a year, payable half-yearly in advance. It provides for Board and Lodging, Tuition, School Books, Furniture, Bedding and House Linen. The Extra Charges are : Washing, £1 10 a a year, and Medicine a ad Medical Attendance if required. Students will provide their own wearing apparel, including tha Soutane, as well as Surplice for assistance in Caoir. The Annual Vacation beginß on the 15th of December and ends on the 15th of February. The Seminary is under the patronage and direction of the Archbishop and Bishops of New Zealand, and under the immediate personal supervision of the Right Rev. Bishop of Danedin. Donations towards the establishment of Bursaries for the Free Education of Eoolesiastical Students will be thankfully received.
