Wellington, January 7.— The Industries and Commerce Department has received the following cablegram frlom the Agent-General, dated London, 6uh inst. : Wool market stronger. Lrencidl confidence in the maintenance of present prices. A general and active demand is expected at next sales. Current Bradford quotations— For tops, 36's, low crossbreds, 1/3$ per ft ; 40's, low crossbreds, 1/1 i ; 41"s, medium crossbreds, l/4i ; 50's halfbreds, 1/li , 56 's, quarterbreds, 1/9 ; go's, merinos, 2/OJ.
London, January B.— Rabbitsfcins : At the auctio n sales 18818 bales were ottered and 1867 sold. Best advanced Id, and low- furred suckers showed from par t n decline. v
