OBITUARY
MISS K. O'SULLIVAN, RAKAIA.
lib is with sincere regret (writes a correspondent) I have to record the death of Miss Katie O'Sullivan which ocqurrad early on Thiurstiay morning, December 22 at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Craiehead Rajkaia, at the early age of 27 years. The deceased was Uhe fifth daughter of the late Mr. Bueene O'Sulli\jajn of Ujarrame, Oo^t^ Ksrry, Ireland. She came to the Colony six years ago, and had resided witih her sisfcor in Rakaia ever since, whore she was well Tcnown and highly respected by a very large circle of friends When tine sad intelligence became known it cast quite a gtoom over the district. Mr. and Mrs. Craighead recenvdd a very large number of messages of sympathy from all -parts of the Colony. A Requiem Mass was celebrated m St. Ita's ChSurch, Rakaia, on Saturday m^l ?u 7ti 6 - Very Rev - F a th er O'Donnell, after wni<fh the remains were conveyed by first express to Waimate for interment, where Rev. Father O'Connor officiated at the graveside. A large number of friends including many from Rakaia, attended the funeral thus Showing tlheir respect for the deceased and her family wiho have the heartfelt sympatihy of a large circle of fnen/ds in their sad bereavement.— R IP
