The Alddingifon Market was of a holiday character, botih esvtiries afati attendance being small, the entries Comprised 4312 sheep, 252 cattle, and 153 pigs. Fat Oatitle.— Eighty-eight head were yarded. Prime beef sold at the rate of 22/6 and clows amd secdntfary, 19/- to 20/- per liOOlb. Per head steers made £7 to £8/17/6 ; heifers, £5/12/6 to £7/12/6 ; oows, £5 to £6/17/6. Fiat Cojlves.— The entry was of good Quality. Prices r^ngeti fnom YA/- to 40/-. Store Cattle.— The entry was small, aWd there was no cjhtanaje An value. Sales were made at tftie following prices :— Yearlings, 26/- ; 15 to 18 months, 39/6 tio 53/- ; two-year heifers, £3/10/- to £4/3/6 ; three-year steers, passed at £6/8/- ; dry cows, 30/- to £4. Dairy cow?.- TSiare was a fcmall entry aoid business wias unimportant. Fat Sheep.— Business was extremely 'dull, and the small eintiry was not fully cleared at Ijhe lower prices wjhidh were current. Wethers were easieT, while ordinary ewes suffered a further decline of 1/- to 2/-. Prime weUhers jjold at 21/- to 22/6 ; others, from 18/- ; prime ewes, hS/- to 19/- ; apld aged, from 16/-. Fat Lanrbp.— The supply was small, but included a gfyod proportion of p>rime quality. Prices were very irregular, but ion the average 1/6 lower than last week. TThe best pens sold a£ 17/- to 20/- ; others, 13/6 to 16/6. Stjore Sheep.— A fair entry of store sheep came forward, 'flhe s|aAe was rather irregular, bat on the whole previous v<alues were maintained . The principal sales were of two-tlototh wethers— a small line at 19/6, 94 at 18/5, 82 £|t IV9, 72 at 17./4, amid 267 at 16/9 ; two and four-loottfx wetfhers^-295 at 17/8 ; halfbred and crossbred ewes, at 13/- *'o 19/9 ; 241 ewes with lambt, at 11/6, all counted ; a small line of lambs at 12/9. Pigs.— A small entry averaged previous rates—namely, id to 4£d for baooners, and 4£ to 4fd for porkers.
