The artnlu,al prize-givi.ng fri aonnection with St. Patrick's Saltdol took place in the sHh'oolrQom op. FrJdjay last. Before the distribution took place a number of mlusiqal items were gone through by the pupils most creditably.
One of the most successful entartainmen'ts ever field in Wainvate was given on Tuesday, December 20, iin the Oddfellows' Hall, when the members of St. Patrick's Dramiatic Club made their first appearance in public. The play selected Was tihe comedy, ' Her Second Husbafnd. 1 T/he .performance went with a swing from start %o flinish, being free from long waits and prompting, usually the case in atwateur performances. The members are to be oon,g,rajtlulated for the way in whitfh they carried out their partis. The following; took part iD tjhe performance :— Misses Crowley, A. Patterson, Kent, and Costello, Messrs . Sims, Reid, Co'stello, and HAckey. Qn Christmas Day there were IVLas.ses at 7 and 9 o'clock, 'alnjd at 11 o'clock a Miss a Ga,ntata was celebriated by ttie Rev. Father O'C'orinor. The ohioir rendered Farmer's Mass in B flat,, the soloists beting Misses K<?nt and Sims, Mrs. J. T. Qiumn, amd Messrs. O'Shea and Qol'dsWone The churclh was tastefully decorated, the work of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
