Fat Sheep.— -The entry was large and included Some very prime lines of wetJhers, whidh met with keen competition foom both br.ancb.es of the trade at full recent values ; ia gtfdd selection of prime ewes, winch buMiers ahssorbed at a small reduction ; and the u&ual summer oiTerfrkg of old and heavy ewes, whic?h were not in request, and suffered a fall of 1/- to 2/- from last week's rates. Prices current were as follows : Crossbred wetihens, g,oc<d to prime, 20/- to 23/6 ; others, 17/6 to 10/fi , ewes, to piime, 18/- to 19/6 , extra, to 22/ C, , ni^lium, 15/ Cto 17/6 ; old, 11/9 to I*s/- ; meimo wethers, medium, 11/4 to 15/9. I* at/ Lambs. — T'heie v\ as a large entry, end the quality generally was good. All really fat lots stofcd at an act vance of 6;d t!o 1/- on last week's rates, ttutdhers bjdding, freely to fill Ohristmas requiremants, while exporters were eq.u'ally desirous of filling their space ih tlie ' CJoWiic' Secortdary lrnes held their previous values, arfd about 1000 were taT<an for export, the balance (700) going to butchers. Prime lot's miade 18/- to 20/- • extra, to 21/8 ; others, from 14/!). Store Sheep.— The yarding was the largest for some months. Tihe demand was active, 'and recent vallues were well maintained.
Pigiß.— There was a large and good entry of fat ■pigs, and buyers sßowed some reserve. Prices, however, were fairly well maintained. Prime bacomors sold at 38/- to 55/-, equial to 4d to 4i'd per lb ; porkors at Q3/^ I)cj 3-2/-, Or 4id to 4^d per lb ; large stores, 25/- to 30/- ; and a few very good Berksihires from Oh'athiam IsDapds at 32/- ; indium. 18/- to 24/- ; sirtall 12/- to IS/- ; suckers, 8/- to 10/-.
