The value of the Oxford examunatijons is being proved by tthe ardor witih winch the s/uhjects are bemug studied by tihe pirnp ils of the various gjraldes. TJie yujnool has obtained Uhe uyual uxusical successes, whicji this year have, if anything, been emphasised by an increase in the number of hon,ors cortifiqatos—ll lor practical music and 4 tor theoretical. A oairtdidate in the advanced gfade has secured the silver modal, and one t^he diploma of L.A.B. in the teachers' examination. T^ie total number of siuiccessful ca»di'dates in the priactical esami-nations is 47. Goc'd work fti\as beeoi done by the art students. Muoh attesntion has been giiven to fjhysical development, and tihe class (uftder tihe direction of iViiss iVLowat) has miade very satisfactory iprogress. The large number of children admitted into t(he sodalities during the year is proof suifßcient that tlie general tone and cdndnct of ttfie pupils is 'decidedly g,ood.
