OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR. The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) repott :— We iheld o.ur usual weekly sale at our horse bazaar on Saturday last, when 74 Clydesdale, van, spring-car-ters, ligiht. harness, and hackney horses were offered by our auctioneer d/uring the forenoo,n. We had a splendid attendance, buyers being present from all parts of the
province and South Canterbury. Local buyers were ■weir represented; and" farmers and bown^oarriers were to the front m full torce. The large gathering comprised a great number of b,uyer&, all o£ 'whom cpmpeted well and bid briskly for all h,orses suitable to their requirements, a|nd prices obtained for youtig, sound, Clydesdale geLdings were quite as good as values of three months aigo. Buggy and hackney horses were also well competed far, and a large number changed hands' at satisfactory, prices. We quote : Heavy draught mares and geiuings (young and sound), £55 to £65 ; lorry and van horses, £42 to £52 ; plough horses, £38 to £45; sipringcarters, £25 to £32 ; buggy gebdings, £20 to £25 ; sihow n'nlp, geldings v of this cfasVs, up >to £40 ;i\fridin,ary hackneys, £18 to £25.
