WEDDING BELLS
LEONARD— MORRISS. (From our A\ aim ate correspondent.) One of -(he most popular and the prettiest wedding that has ever taken place in the distuct was celebrated on Mhursday, November 3, at St. Joseph's Church, Morven, when Mis« Sarah Morri.ss, second daughter of Mr. John Mornss, Morven, was married to Mr. Maurice Leonaid, eldest son ot Mr. Mauiice Leonard, WaitaM. The bnde,' who was given away by her brother, Mr. J. Morns./, looked charming in a dress of cream satin, trimmed with sun. lace and chiflon. She also wore a wreath and veil. The bridesmaids, Misses M. and K. Morri.ss, sisters of the bride, wore cream cashmeie dresses, trimmed with silk lace and large picture hats to match. Mr. Michael Leonard (brother of the bridegroom), nfhciated as best man. The Nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Regnault. The choir rendered ' Webb's Mass m G ' '1 he bridal party left* the churdi to the strains of the wedding march, placed b> Mr. P llanlev. 'i he wedding bieakfast was held at the residence ot the bride's parents, where 200 guests assemoled The toast of the ' Biido and bndegioom ' was proposed in a happy speech by the Rev. Father Regnault. r I hat oi the ' Bridesmaids 'by the best man Mr. C. E. Brenmer (County i.ngmeer) proposed the toast of the ' Bride's parents,' Mr. Morriss responding The presents were numerous anr 1 costly, that of Uie bridegroom to the* bride being a gold watch, and th.it of the bride to the biidegroom a silver mounted umbrella Tue bridesmaids recened from the bridegroom gold bangles. The happy couple left by the north express lor Auckland, where the honeymoon is to be spent In the evening the young people met in the schoolroom where a pleasant e\ening was spent.
