After remaining open for five weeks, St. Mary's Cathedral Fair (Syflney) was brotigjht to a close on Saturday, October 8. During the closing days the hall was filled s:o that there was hardly standing room. It is said on good authority that £14,000 has been banked to the Cathedral Building Fund since the commencement of the appeal by his Eminence the Cardinal- in February last. Of this amount a sum of £7-00 was received on the final day of the fair.
