WEDDING BELLS
EVANS-HAGERTY.
On Tuesday, August 3D (writes an occasional correspondent), an interesting wedding took place at the Pro-Cathedral. Clhristchureh. The Rev. Father Mahony celebrated a Nuptial Mass 1 and performed the marriage ceremony. The bride was Miss Elizabeth (Lily) Evans, of Sydenliam, and t)he bridegroom Mr. Daniel Washington Hagerty, of Wintofo, Southland. Miss Margaret Evans, sister of the bride, acted as bridesunaid, and a brother of> the bride, Mr. Thomas Evans, was best man. The bride, who was given away by her father, Mr. Robert Evans, wore, besides the usual wreatfh and veil, a beautiful cream cashmere dress trimmed with chiffon. The bridesmaid was attired in a rich pale greert voile dretes, elaborately trimmed with -net,, aiid hat to .nvatch. 'After tjhe ceremony the wedding party drove back tto the residence of tihe parents of the bride in ■ S^xerling street, Sy»denham, where the breakfast was held. The Rev. Father Mahony presided, amd proposed the health of the newly married couple. The wddding presqrcts were numerous, valuable and useful.
