ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.
The Addington stock sales were held as usual. Fat OattJe.—The entry of 252 head was in excess* oJ requirements, and there was a fall of about 10/- per head. Steers ranged from £6/7/6 to«»#ll/12/6 fos: very prime; heifers, £6/10/- to £9/5/- and a few up to £10/2/6; cows, £5/10/- to £8/15/-. Per 100 ft rates ?oTi P ,™ e steers ' 25 /"i S° od > 22/- to 23/-; cows. la/- to 20/-.
Pi;gjs.— A small supply of baconers sold at fully previous week's rates— best at 45/- to 51/6, lighter 40/- to 45/- (eujiial to 4d per ft). Prime porkers were a little easier at 30/- to 40/-, or 4£d tto 4|d per ft. A large yarding of stores made good prices — large, 30/- to 37/-, small, 19/- to 22/-, weamers * 6/» to IV- Some very good choppers brought 6&/- to 1 02/-.
Fat Sheep —A fair entry showed fair quality, and the sale opened, at last week's rates, but competition weakened and rates were considerably reduced. The market recovered later, and prices were on am average a little Lower than previously. Wethers : Extra prime, up to 32/6 ; prime, 23/- to 27/6 ; others, 18/- to 22/6. Ewes : Extra prime, to 27/- ; prime heavy, 2.1/- to 25/6 ; others, 14/- to 20/-. Merino wethers : Prime, 20/- to 22/7 ; others, 15/6 to 18/6. The entry of fat hoggets was small, and brought 17/- to 20/0.
