I regret to announce the death, on August 22 of Mr Rdward Fianas Tole, fourth son of the late Mr. John lole Ihe deceased, who at an early age, exhibited remarkable talent and ability, determined, after some >cais of arduous study, to adopt the profession of his late lather, that of a land surveyor He soon became a prominent member of the Government Survey staff and was placed m charge of some of the principal su'r\eys i.ndeiiaken in those days. He was of Irish birth, an cUiemely well-read man, and made the history of his tountiy, in which he was always deeply niteies'ted one ol his most de\otcd studies. A good Catholic he' was c\ci mindful of the welfare of his Church and its many charitable institutions.
