The novices admitted to profession were : Miss Julia McCarthy (in religion Sister Mary Aloysms), youngest daughter of Mrs. T. McCarthy, Greymouth, and Miss Elizabeth Cowan (in religion Sister Catherine), daughter of Mr. L. Cowan, Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland.
