MRS. C. McMAHON, AUCKLAND.

Mrs. Catherine McMahon, a well known and highly respected parishioner of St. Patrick's (writes our Auckland correspondent) has passed away. The deceased lady was born at Three Mile House, County Monaghan, Ireland. Her father, the late Mr. Cormick McEnter, was a prominent figure in local government, serving as Poor Law Guardian and a member of the Hospital Board for 30 years. The deceased was educated at the convent school &<b Armagh. After her marriage with Mr. John McMahop she came to this Colony, living for many yeais on the West Coast, where she took an active part in Church affairs. Her illness was of short duration, and her end was happy and peaceful, receiving the last rites of the Church, the priests and Sisters of Mercy constantly visiting her. She was buried at Onehunga in the presence of her sorrowing husba-nd and numerous friends. — R.I.P.
