A Good Suggestion
' It is a genuine pleasure,' writes a thoughtful North Island subscriber, ' to see the in which the *' Tablet " lets the light of day into the ridiculous stories that ate circulated from time to time by the secular papers against the good name of the Catholic Church.' Our correspondent then goes on to suggest that a systematic and united effort should be made to bring such refutations well before the public, to disseminate apologetic literature, and, generally, to advance the interests of Catholic truth throughout the Colony : In other words, he advocates a real, live Catholic Truth Society, with local headquarters in each of the four great centres of population.
