MRS. J. FLYNN, HAWERA. (By telegraph from an occasional correspondent)

It is with feelings of deep regret I have to record th« passing away of O ne of the pioneers of the CathoH? Church in this Colony in the person of Mrs. J Flynn whose somewhat sudden death on Monday evening cast \ l h Ve r UIC town of Nawera, where the deceased had resided for many years, and during that time enjojoU the great respect of all who had the peasure of her acquaintance. Mrs. Flynn had not been very well of /«, t«i l infL ear - y vOnu On u MondftV evening, whilst conversing by telephone in her home with one of her sons in Opunake she had an apoplectic seizure, and in about a quar- }"° an , h ? ur . her soul sped across the line separating tine from eternity. The deceased was a good practical Catholic. lo her sorrowing husband and family the greatest sympathy is extended in their bereavement. By her death the Church loses a faithful member, the town a sterling citizen, her husband a loving wife, and her children a kind and affectionate mother. As Mrs Flynn was a member of the Catholic church choir ior many vea.rs a solemn Recmiem Mass was said tor the happy repose of her sou on Wednesday morning, the interment taking place in the afternoon.
