OBITUARY

MR. M. RYAN, WAITAHUNA. The many friends of Mr. Michael Ryan, of Waitahuna, will hear with regret of his death, which occurred on Wednesday evening of last week. The deceased had been in poor health for some time and had only recently returned from a trip to Australia, which he had undertaken on medical advice. The late Mr Ryan, who was 71 years of age, was a native of Thurles, County Tipperary, came out to Victoria in the fifties, and had been in New Zealand for about 40 years. lie was highly esteemed by all who knew him, and his demise was deeply legretted by his many friends. His sorrowing family have our sincere sympathy in their bereavement. — R.I. P.
