Napier, April 2.— The Colonial Consignment and Disr tributing Company cabled to-day :— ' A further fall of one-eighth of a penny is reported for both qualities of lamb. Quotations : Canterbury mutton, 4Jd , Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 3Jd. Lamb — first quality s}d, second sfd.' London, April 3. — Manitoba wheat is quoted at 3s 6d. Butter is dull. The shipments of mutton now arriving are very heavy. River Plate mutton is in small supply. The average price today was : Canterbury mutton, 4^d ; Dunedin, Southland, and W.M.E. Co., 4fcd ; other North llsland mutton, 3Jd ; River Plate mutton, 3fd. There Is a good demand for all lamb, and an indication to force sales. The average price to-day is : New Zealand lamb (Canterbury brand), s£d ; New Zealand lamb (brands other than Canterbury), s|d ; River Plate lamb, sd. There has been no alteration in the beef market since last week. The butter market is dull and very unsettled. The price of butter to-day is 101s per cwt ; Argentine, 100s. Danish prices declined by 10s during the last fortnight. There is no alteration in the cheese market since last week. The cocksfoot seed market is dull, and buyers are not keen to do business in cocksfoot seed The average price to-day is : New Zealand 171 b standard, 57s per cwt.
