Rev Father Ainhworth lecently concluded a moat succcs-ful mission in the parish of Rctfton. Ten days were devot*d to the town itpelf, and the Catholic congregation fully availed themselves of the great priviUg 8 placed at their dibpoi-al. Hundreds approached the Sacraments, welcome at«ietai cc in (ho tribunal of Penance being given by ihr Very Rfv. L'eau C'arew (Orcyuu uth) Rev. Father Clancy (N.-ls(n) and llev Father Moloiuy (Wellington). Subs.quently Father Aineworth, in company with the parish priest, the Rev. Father Hickeon. epeiit three we. ks visiting' all the parish stations, short minions being: given in Matakitaki. Murchibod, Lyell, Alpine Hill. Three Channel Flnt. Inangahua Junction Cronadon, Buatunms, Waiiahu, Piogioo Jum tioi., Hinau, Blackwater, and Ikamatua. In each 1 calitj the most gratifying lcsultn were recorded.
