Fat Cattle.— 2lß yarded, including a number of good bullocks and a k>t| of useful cows and heifers. The sale was on a par with last week. best beef, 22s 6d to 25s 6d per 1001!) , other, 19s to 22s Id. Prime bullocks realised £10 to £12 7s ; steers, £6 to £9 10s ; extra prime heifers, £9 to £13 10s ; others, £5 5s to £8 10s , cows, £5 to £7 ss. Store and Dairy Cattle — There waa only a small supply of stores Good IS-month steers realised £3 18s ; 15 to 18-inonths old cattle, £2 2s to £2 3s 6d , dry cows, £2 7g to £4. Fat Sheep — About 3000, mostly good (quality, (penned Buyers for} shipment to Sydney (alive and dead) hardened, ffeayy-weights and freezing buyers operated more freely. Heavy wethers realised 19s 6d to 22s ; freezers. 15s 6d to 18s '■id, and up to 19a 4d for a nice line of 24Q from Oamaru , light wethers and ewes, 14s 6d to 15s 3d ; heavy owes, 15s to 18s ; others, 11s to 14s 4d. Fat Lambs — 400 penned, mostly) good sorts There was a better demand, and nearly all were taken for export at 13s 9d to 34s , a few smaller sold to butchers at lla 6d to 12s Gd Store Sheep — 3030 penned, mostly wethers and hoggets, and there wad a better demand for all classes. For-» ward wethers fetched 12s 6d to 13a 9d , 1000 South Canterbury wethers and ewes were taken by an Ashburtoti grazier at 12s lOd ; good soundmouthed ewes, 12s 9d to 14s ; aged, 5s 2d ; hoggets, 6s to 9s lOd. Pigs. — About 350 yarded. There was a good sale for all sorts. Baconers realised 38s to 48s, and! up to 60s for extra heavy, equal to 4d per 1b ; porkers, 22s to 345, eqlual to 4d and 4£d per Ib ; large stores, 16^ to 21s ; smaller do, 12s to 15s ; suckers and weaners, 7s to 9s 6d.
