A letter from his Eminence Cardinal Mr>ran was received at St. Mary 'B Cathedral the other day, in which his Eminence alludes to his return to Australia. In an interview which a representative of the Fin man's Journal had with the Cardinal a few days before his dip^rture for Rome, he learnt from bia Eminence that he anticipated being back in Australia by about the first week in November. The Cardinal now states, in the letter above referred to, that he will be back a little earlier. Ii is probable his Eminence w ill arrive in Sydney in October. This information will be received wnh no small degree of pleasure, and will silence rumors and set, doubts at rest regarding his Eminence's future movements.
