London, May 29. —Wheat : The European markets are firm, but quiet ; Aimer ican, weak. Cargoes are steady. Victorian January and New South Wales February shipment, 30s 6d. London, May 31.— Two Australian Wheat cargoes sold at 29& 6d and 29s 7jfd. London, June 1. — Frozen meat : New Zealand: sheep have declined, l-16d. Lamb : Canterbury, 4 13-16-fair average, 4 11-16 d. New Zealand beef, 1801T> to 2.201 b, fair average ojuality — ox fores, 4|d, hinds 4"|d. Cheese has again lalpsed. New Zealand, 575. Wellington* June 2.— Tho following cable has been received from the, Agent - General : — ' London, 31st. — Mutton market quiet ; trade for all classes has been very slow, and prices barely maintained. Canterbury, 4-id ; Dunedin, Southland, and W.M.E. Company's, 4,d ; other North Island, 3£d. The lamb market is dull. Competition amongst holders, to clear stocks, has lowered the values : Canterbury, 4^d , other brands, 4£d. The beef market is weak. New Zealand hinds, 4|d ; fores, 4d. There is no alteration in the butter market, but cheese (is falling, and is now quoted at 58s.'
