MRS. BROSNAHAN, TEMUKA.
Yet another of the fa*«t diminishing numbers of early settlers h-xs passed away in the person of Mrs Brosnahan, relict of the late Mr James Brosnahan, whosedeath (says the Temuka Leader) at the nge of SO is announced The deceased lady was a resident of the distiict for the pa«t 3(5 years, having settled here on her arrival from the County of Kerry, and was well known and highly respected. During the list f? months her once 'familiar figure has not been Ken about as frequently as of y> i re, owing to illnets. The 1 ite Mrs Brosnahan was th>- mother of Mr John Brosnahan, of Arowhonua. Mrs M. G.iffaney an 1 Miss Brosnahan (Temuka), Mrs G .ir.uiey (Dunedin"), and Mm Bryant (Christchurch). She leaves altogether one son. tour daughtsrs, 41 grand-children, and 20 greatgrandchildren. Previous to her illne«s she was hale and hearty, and was often to be seen walking to or from Mr Brosnahan's to her ov\n house m Temuka. preferring to do so than duve. — // I.P.
