GT. PATRICK'S COLLEGE WELLINGTON. CONDUCTED BY THE MARIST FATHERS. Under the Distinguished Patronage of His Grace the Archbishop of Wellington. The object of the Marist Fathers in this country, as in their colleges in Europe and America, is to impart to their pupils a thoroughly Religious and a sound Literary education, which will enable them in after-life to discharge their duties with honour to Religion and Society, and with credit and advantage to themselves. Students are prepared for the N.Z. University Junior and Senior Civil Service, Medical Entrance, Solicitors' General Knowledge, Bank and all other Public Examinations. Students not preparing for the learned Professions hive the advantage of a Special Commercial Course, under efficient management, where they are taught all that will be of use in mercantile pursuits. Special attention is also paid to the teaching of Physical Science, for which purpose the College possesses a large Laboratory and Demonstration Hall. Vocal Music, Elocution, Drawing, and all other branches of a Liberal Education receive due attention. Physical culture is attended to by a competent Drill Instructor, who trains the students three times a week in Drill, Rifle Practice, and Gymnastics. A large and well -equipped Gymnasium is attached to the College. The religious and moral training of the pupils is an object of special oare, and particular attention is bestowed on the teaching of Christian Doctrine. A well-appointed lufirmary attached to the College is under the charge of the Sinters of Compassion, from whom in case of illness all students receive the mosfc tender and devoted cure, and who at all times pay particular attention to the younger and more delicate pupils, who without such care woald find the absence of home comforts very trying. The Summer HoUdays will end on Thursday, February 6th. For Terms, etc., apply to THE RECTOR.
