Butter is very dull. Choicest colonial, 103s ; Danish (recovering), 112s. Mr. F. Meenan, King street, reports : — Wholesale prices only — Oats : Feed, fair to good, Is 4d to Is Cd ; milling, Is fid to Is 7d. Wheat: milling, 2s 5d to 2s 7d ; fowls', Is 9d to 2s 2d. Potatoes : New, local, L 3. Chaff : Good demand for prime up to L 2 12s tid ; inferior, hard to sell ; medium, L 2 .">?. Straw : pressed 37*, market fair ; loose, 30s. Flour : Sacks, 2001bs, L 7 ; JiOlbs, L 7 ; 2.'>lbs, L 7 ss. Oatmeal : 2olba, Ly 10s. Butter : Dairy, 6d to 8d ; factory, 9^d to 10^d. Cheese: Dairy, sd; factory, ,jjd. Eggs, Is 4d; Onions : Melbourne, L'J ; Canterbury, LG. Messrs. Donald Reid and Co , report as follows ■ — Oats — We submitted a catalogue of good to inferior feed lots. Competition was slack and only a few lots were quitted at valuations. We quote . Prime milling. Is ~>\(L to Is <>^d ; good to bes-t feed, Is 4d to Is ,">d ; inferior to medium, lh to Is lijd per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat — There is fair demand for prime milling quality at late quotations. Medium is not in request with buyers. We catalogued good whole fowls' wheat, v>hi< h was well competed for up to valuations. We quote Prime milling, 2-> (id to 2s 7£d ; medium to good, 2s 3d to 2s od ; whole fowls' wheat. 2* to 2s 2d ; broken and damaged, Is 8d to Is lid per bushel (i-aik* m). Potatoes — The market is will supplied and all sorts have suffered a relapse, prices j'estorday being about 20s per ton lower than those of last week. We quote • Best Derwent*. L 3 to L3ss ; good, L 2 15s to L 2 17s (id ; kidneys and medium Derwents, L 2 5b to L 2 10s per ton (sackß in). Chaff— Fair supplies to hand and prices barely en a par with late values. We quote Best oaten eheaf, L 2 7s Oil to L 2 IDs ; medium, L 2 to L 2 ~>b ; inferior, Ll 15s to Ll 17s <>d per ton (bags extra). Messrs. Stronach Bros, and Morris report as follows :—: — Wheat — There has been a fair demand during the week and prices remain firm.
