Dunedin Horse Saleyards.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows :— There was a large entry for this week's sale. The Bupply inoladed one team of eight carrier's horses from Mr. John Drummond, of West Taieri, a shipment of 20 useful semi-draughts from New South Wales, a consignment of hacks and light harness horses from Timarn, and the usual collection of dealers' horses. Mr. Drummond's team commanded the most attention, the prices realised ranging from L 32 to Lol 10s. For all other consignments the sale wu a dragging one, auJ although in the long rnn » fair number of hones changed hands, it was at prices decidedly lower than we have been accustomed to of late. First-class ycung and PtHunoh horses, whether they be draughts or harness ones, are in strong demand, and find a ready sale at quotations. We have several inquiries for superior heavy draught geldinga, four to aix years old, and for firßt - class, well matched pairs of buggy, waggonette, and carriage horses. We quote • — Superior young draught geldings, L 45 to L 55 ; extra good Eri*e horses, L 56 to L 65 ; medium draught marea and geldings, 30 to L4O ; aged do, L2O to L 27 ; upstanding carriage hones, L 25 to L3O; well-matohed carriage pairs, L7O to LI 00; strong spring-van horses, L2B to L 35 ; milk-cart and butchers' order-cart hones, Ll4 to L2l ; tram horseß, LlO to LI 5; light hacks, L 8 to Lls ; extra good hackß, L2O to L3O ; weedy and aged hacks and harness horses, L 2 to L 5.
