IiYNM\KY— <.>UINN. (From our Timaru Correspondent.) Tmk marriage of Miss Catherine D. Quinn (for many years organist of Juneph's Church), eldent daughter of Mr. M. Quinn, J.P., Tmiuka. to Mr. M. Lynskey. Kaiapoi. took place on Wednesday last he St. Joseph's Church, Temuka, the Rev. Father Galerne officiating. The bride was attired in a handsome costume off white silk trimmed' with laoe, with the customary wreath and veil, and had for bridesmaids her bitter. Miss Lucy Quinn, Miss Lynwkey. the Misses Leahey, ard Mis* Flynn, all dresr-el in white mu»hn trimmed with insertion and Jace. Mr. P. LyuNkey, br< ther of the bridegroom, acted as grooms-nan. At the cuncluwion of the ceremony Miss Flynn played tne Wedding March, and the many friends of the families adjourned to the residence of the bride* parent s, where a reception was held. Jhe breakfast was laid in a huge marquee erected for ihe occasion. Mr. Mundcll was in the chair acd Mr. Eiby in the vioe-cuair, and the usual toasts were duly honored. Among thoso present were the Rev. Father-* Galerne, Aubry, and Hyland. l/r. Warren, ex-Police Inspector Buckley, and Mess™. J. and W. Fitzgerald. In replying to the to.ist of his health Mr. Quinn pointed out a singular circumstance that Mrs. Quinn and himself were g dmother and j-odfather to the young man who had now become their Bon-in-law. Telegrams wero received from all parts of the Colony wishing the young couple prosperity, and the numerous and costly wedding presents were evidence of the popularity of the newlyweddtd pair. The young couple left by the south express to spend the honeymoon. .7KFI-EKBON— KNIGHT. A quiet marriage took place at tbe Priory on Wednesday last (writes our Timaru correspondent) the contracting parties being Mr. 0. A. J fferßon, manager of the local branch of the New Zealand Insurance Company, and Miss Winnie Knight, fourth daughter of Mr. J. C. Knight, of Timaru The ceremony was performed by th« Rev. Father Aubry. The honeymoon was spent in the Waitaki and Waiho district.*. The wedding party wan limited to immediate relations.
