The distribution of prizes to the pupils of St. Philomena's High School, Convent of Mercy, South Dunedin, took place on Tuesday afternoon. December 18. The Right Rev. Dr. Verdon presided and the Rev. Father Coflfey was also present. The distribution was preceded by a short entertainment consisting of instrumental selections, recitations, and choruses, at the conclusion of which his Lordship congratulated the children on their success during the year and wished them a happy Christmas.
