The Government Insurance Department is prepared to lend money in sums of £100 to £10,000 on country, city, and suburban freeholds at 4 \ per cent. The terms of payment, which are of a most liberal character, can be ascertained on application at the head office. Wellington, or to the district manager, Dunedin.— %* The authorised capital of the National Insurance Company of New Zealand is £2,000,000, and the accumulated funds amount to whilst the losses already paid exceed £2,000,000 sterling. The company being a local institution claims that every colonist should be interestee in its prosperity. The head office is in Dunedin, but it is represented by branches and agencies in nearly every centre in the Colony. — „,%
