Messrs. Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :—
Oats — We quitted a few lines of medium quality at Is lOd to Is 1 Id per bushel, but for good to best feed there were no buyers present. The demand for export is firm at late quotations, prime short feed, A and B grades, receiving most attention. Long oats, excepting Danish, are not in request, but the latter, if prime, are readily placed at about Is lid per bushel. We quote: Prime milling, 2s Id ; good to best feed, 2j to 2s OJd ; medium, Is lOd to H lid per bushel (sacks extra).
Wheat — Prime milling, velvet and Tuscan, is in good demand at late quotations, and is placed without difficulty at 2s 5d to 23 6d per bushel. Medium is still neglected, and nominally worth 2s 3d to 2s 4d. Whole fowl wheat finds buyers at 2s to 2s 2d ; broken and damaged. Is 9d to Is lid per bushel (sacks in).
Potatoes — We quote best kidneys at L 3 ; medium, L 2 10s to L 2 15" per ton (sacks in).
Chai'i' — We offerei several trucks of good quality, and sold same at L 2 12s (id to L 2 17s 6<l. Prime is worth L,'? per ton (bags extra).
