At the second series of wool hales at Napitr the total offerings of the five brokers aggregated KM Hi bales. There wad a full attendance of English, southern, and local buyers , and there was good competition at la'cly reported r it( -, which arc. however, from id to 2d per lb below the \alues ruling when the last sales, on December li. were held, the greatest <li( hue being shown in merino wools. The following were the ruling prices — Merino . good, to ll^d; medium. Hid to ld}d : interior, sd. Ilalfbred good, lOd ; medium, to 9 Id: interior. 7d to Nl. Crossbred: good, '.id, medium, 7d to sj,d : inferior, .Id to 7d. Lincoln : good, fid : medium, .lid , inferior. 4]d t) .lid. l'ieccs, up to <s.jd ; locks, up to o^d scoured, up to 10 Ul for botti merino and halfbrcd.
Messrs. Stronach Bros, and Morris report as follows — Rah bits kins — No wile this -week. Sheepskins — At Tuesday's sales bidding was rather dull and prices showed a sharp decline. llide^. — Market very fhin. Piime heavy ox, Id to I id; medium, 3 Id to 3 |d ; inferior and light, I'd to 3d per Ib.
Tallow — Iv good demand. Prime rendered mutton, I.ls Gd to 17s ; medium, I3h iid to I.ls ; rough fat, 10s Gd to 12s Gd per cwt.
Wool — The third sale of the reason takes place on Friday next, February 2. and the fourth on Thursday, February 22.
