The entries at the Addington market comprised 3321 fat sheep, 2000 fat lambs, 4310 store sheep, 525 head cattle, and 325 pigs. . ; Fat Cattle— The 226 fat cattle were mostly light to handy weights, only a few pens being prime Christmas beef. The market was most irregular, and prices were easier, without any quotable change. Good to prime steers raid at from L7to L 8 12s 6d, lighter L 5 to L 6 10s, extra prime show heifers L 8 to L 9, good L 6 to L 7, lighter down to L 3 17s 6d, cows L 3 7s 6d to L 6 15s.
Fat Sheep — A very mixed entry and a fair sale Extra prime wethers brought up to 15s to 19b, freezing quality 13s 9d to 14b, lighter, 13a to 13s 6d, butchers' ewes, 8s to 12s. Fat Lambs— These were of better quality, and there was a good demand. Extra prime sold at to 14s, freezers 11s to 13s, lighter down to 9s 61.
Stobe Sheep — The best yarding of Btore sheep for some time, and good inquiry. One thousand and ten four and six-tooth wethers brought 12s 6d, 528 do, 13s, 384 four-tooth 12s lOd, 134 13s 7d, 387 two-tooth do 11s 7d, and 222 do 12s 4d. Ewes and lambs (all oounted) brought 6s 6d, 8a Bd, 8s 10d, 9s Id, 10s 2d, 10s 6d, and up to 115.9 d, and hoggets 10s Id to 10s 6d.
Pias— The pig- market was very flat for all sorts. Baconers brought barely 3d and porkers 3d to 3£d per lb, ~
