The many improvements that are being carried out in G-eorge-street, bid fair to render that thoroughfare the rival to South Princes street in the matter of increased architectural adornments. Amongst other houses of business that have enlarged their premises, that of Mr. T. S. Kerr has completed extensive alterations. In addition to the trade hitherto carried on by this establishment in Clothing and Men's Mercery, an extensive Drapsry department has been opened ; and the reputation which has been" long enjoyed by Mr Kerr for the excellence of the stock hitherto kept on hands by him, is the best proof thai; his new undertaking will be thoroughly well maintained. The Supreme Court Hotel, which is about Lo be opened in Stuartstreet by Mr. C. O'Driscoll will form a valuable addition to estabments of its Mud in Duuediu. It will contain 17 well ventilated and neatly furnished bed-rooms, »nd four sitting-rooms, as well as a diningroom and a billiard-room. Each landing will be pleateously supplied with hot and cold water, and convenient bath-rooms will be provided. The building is now completed, and only awaits internal fittings to be prepared for habitation. In accomplishing this, neither trouble nor expense will be spared, and a thoroughly comfortable and well conducted hotel will speedily be available.
